The service aims to enable organisations to redesign workflows, integrate AI into existing systems, and deploy agentic applications without requiring changes to their current cloud providers, AI models, or core infrastructure. Enterprise Advantage supports multi-cloud and hybrid environments, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, as well as both open- and closed-source AI models, allowing enterprises to optimise existing technology investments.
IBM Enterprise Advantage combines the firm’s consulting expertise with technology derived from IBM Consulting Advantage, its internal AI-powered delivery platform. Consulting Advantage has already been deployed in over 150 client engagements, helping improve consultant productivity by as much as 50 percent while accelerating client outcomes. With Enterprise Advantage, IBM is extending this internally tested approach to clients, allowing organisations to build their own AI platforms and navigate the increasingly complex AI ecosystem with greater confidence, governance, and speed.
The service is designed to support enterprises at varying stages of AI adoption. Global learning company Pearson, for example, is using Enterprise Advantage to develop a custom AI-powered platform that integrates human expertise with agentic assistants to support everyday decision-making and operational workflows.
In another case, a manufacturing firm deployed Enterprise Advantage to implement a generative AI strategy. The company identified high-value use cases, tested targeted prototypes, and aligned leadership around a scalable, platform-first approach. The organisation is now rolling out AI assistants across multiple technologies in a secure, governed environment, creating a foundation for enterprise-wide generative AI adoption.
Commenting on the launch, Lula Mohanty, managing partner for MEA at IBM Consulting, said: “AI has the potential to transform every business, but turning that potential into real, scalable value remains a challenge for many organizations. At IBM, we’ve navigated this journey ourselves—using AI to modernize our operations and achieve measurable results. Enterprise Advantage extends that proven approach to our clients, combining human expertise, secure AI assets, and intelligent digital workers, so businesses can confidently scale AI and drive meaningful, lasting impact.”
The new service reflects IBM’s broader strategy to help enterprises move beyond experimentation with AI toward production-scale deployment. By positioning AI as a core operational capability rather than a standalone initiative, IBM hopes to make it easier for organisations to integrate intelligent systems into day-to-day business operations while maintaining governance and security standards.
With Enterprise Advantage, IBM seeks to provide a structured, scalable pathway for companies seeking to realise the practical value of AI, demonstrating the potential to reshape workflows, enhance decision-making, and support long-term operational goals.
