Qatar’s Badr Al Darwish Elected to International Equestrian Sports Solidarity Committee

Badr Al Darwish, President of the Qatar Equestrian and Pentathlon Federation, has been elected as a member of the Solidarity Committee of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). The election, announced during the FEI General Assembly in Abu Dhabi, highlights Qatar’s ongoing contributions to the development of equestrian sports in the region and Asia.

Expressing his gratitude for the confidence shown by FEI members, Al Darwish described his election as a recognition of Qatar’s efforts in promoting equestrian sports on a regional and global scale. “This achievement reflects the significant strides Qatar has made in hosting and supporting equestrian events, further establishing itself as a hub for the sport,” he stated.

Qatar’s commitment to equestrianism has been evident through its hosting of numerous international competitions and initiatives aimed at developing the sport. Al Darwish reaffirmed the federation’s dedication to showcasing Qatar on the global equestrian stage, highlighting the upcoming second edition of the Doha International Equestrian Tour in early 2025. The FEI General Assembly, held in Abu Dhabi, brought together representatives from 137 countries and was presided over by FEI President Ingmar De Vos.
