Current Afghanistan situation and how it is handled?

Current Afghanistan situation and how it is handled?

Afghanistan is one of the beautiful countries in the Asia region also naturally rich country but unfortunately have been a subject of war due to the existence of various militant wings in-country for example Daesh, ISIS, and above all country is controlled by the Taliban, which is a religious Tahreek comprised of Afghan resistance force formerly known as “mujahedeen” who are working in Afghanistan under the agenda of removing foreign influences in Afghanistan.

Current Afghanistan situation

Taliban came into existence in the 1980s when they fought against invading Soviet forces, officially they are formed in 1994 and conquered Kabul in 1996. They themselves were calling caretakers of Afghanistan and working closely with other militants’ wings to beak foreign influence in Afghanistan.

In February 2020, USA government signed a peace deal with the Taliban according to which they were following peace not just in Afghanistan rather in the whole Asia region as well which means no terrorism activity in Afghanistan and also in its linked countries as well.

Till Trump government ends this pact was working fine but recently after Biden’s government it is observed that the Taliban has started taking whole control in Afghanistan and foreign forces include USA and UK troops, they are trying to evacuate their people along with many Afghan people also want to move to USA, UK and many other countries who are tired of the constant war situation in Afghanistan.

Since all the international forces and U.S continue to evacuate their people and many Afghans along with moving them to western countries and get them rid of this continued war zone in Afghanistan, many countries have opened their gates to welcome Afghan refugees once again and giving place in their countries in which UAE, India and also Pakistan doing top most humanitarian work there.

Taliban has been consulting various stakeholders involved from foreign powers to internal militant wings to form a government in Afghanistan that has support from a majority of Afghan populations and this government should be Sharia-compliant and also “inclusive and Islamic”.

International stakeholders related to human rights are concerned about what that “Sharia’ compliant” government would be? Would it be actually inclusive and based on both religious and western principles related to human rights? How much leverage would women be getting? Will women be allowed to work and drive?

The second most concern is about the peace situation in Afghanistan, that this new Taliban government which has the majority of Afghan people be able to dismantle terrorist militant groups in Afghanistan? As there is a chance Al-Qaeda and ISIS could find the Taliban’s government in the absence of U.S and U.K troops favorable environment to start their activities to demoralize the government.

Though the Taliban is trying hard to develop a government that ensures the protection of civilian’s rights all together including rights of women and minorities as well, they are also making sure that their government should represent true democracy and accommodates different political and ethnic groups to comprehend international stakeholder’s concerns and fears also of local Afghan public’s as well.
