Remembering Benazir Bhutto at International Women Day

Today World is celebrating women day which is internationally celebrated on 8th March every year to salute great women achievers.

Benazir is one of the the most powerful names in the list of most influential women in the World. As a daughter of the most influential Pakistani family Bhutto, Benazir is always respected in the World.

When his father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto hanged by Dictator Zia ul Haq, Benazir states that “somehow my legs move. I cannot feel them. I have turned to stone. But I move… I move in a trance, conscious only of my head. High. I must keep it high. They are all watching”.

Back to Pakistan after Zia ul Haq killed

Memorizing the history, on December 2, 1988 she became the youngest Prime Minister and the first female Prime Minister of any Muslim state. BB was noted for her charisma, strong political awareness  & her ground-breaking initiatives that uplift Pakistan’s economy and national security.

Speaking about terrorism she said,

“Terrorism is a threat to the internal unity and integrity of Pakistan. Unless it is eliminated, God forbid, Pakistan could disintegrate and its people suffer bloodshed and civil war. A PPP government will cooperate with the international community in the fight on terror to save Pakistan and bring regional security for a safer world.”

Crowds gathered to see Bhutto speak

Her last few days in Pakistan, running the campaign of elections when she killed.

“I put my life in danger and came here because I feel this country is in danger. People are worried. We will bring the country out of this crisis,” Bhutto says to supporters in her final speech.

On December 27, 2007, she killed in Rawalpindi while going back after addressing. Pakistan and whole world lost a brave woman. Her death mourned all of the Pakistan and supporters of democracy.
