Can hot weather prevent the spread of Corona virus?

Preliminary research by the US educational institution, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), says that countries where the weather is slightly warmer, the spread of the Coronavirus is slow. According to researchers at MIT, the Coronavirus has been found in these countries where the temperature is 3 to 17 degrees Celsius. The countries where the temperature is above 18 degrees Celsius, there are less than 6% of Coronavirus cases. In countries where the weather is cold, it saw a rapid increase in coronary virus patients. Despite the availability of the best medical facilities are in Europe, there has been an increase in people infected with the virus.

Author of the study, Dr. Qasim Bukhari says that the increase in temperature may reduce the severity of the spread of the Coronavirus. However, this does not mean that it will not spread. He says it’s possible due to the hot weather the coronavirus is not able to stay on the surface for long but it can still be dangerous.

Another study in Spain and Finland says the outbreak of the Coronavirus has spread rapidly in these countries, where the weather was dry and the temperature was between minus 2 and 10 degrees. Another study said the cities where the temperature was high and humid before the Chinese government took aggressive action against the Coronavirus, the spread of the virus is seen at a slower pace there.
