A shooting during a late-night celebration near Tennessee State University left one person dead and nine others injured, including three minors, police confirmed on Sunday. The incident, which occurred late Saturday, has prompted an investigation by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Authorities stated that gunfire broke out between two groups during the gathering, and it is suspected that some bystanders may have been hit in the crossfire. One of the injured individuals is believed to have been involved in the shooting, according to police reports.

“We are working diligently to determine all the facts, including the possible involvement of bystanders and whether any of the individuals harmed were students,” McClain said.
