Today, the Qiddiya Investment Company’s Board of Directors announced the launch of the world’s first multi-purpose gaming and esports area within the Qiddiya project. This area, spanning over 500,000 square meters, aims to attract gamers globally and establish Saudi Arabia as a central hub in these industries.

This initiative extends the support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the gaming and esports sector, through the launch of the national strategy for gaming and esports and several initiatives that contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s targets in this sector, which attracts the interest of two-thirds of the community.

The area is a key part of the national strategy to position Saudi Arabia as a global center for gaming and esports by 2030, aiming to attract up to 10 million visits annually.

🔅 Design and Facilities of the Area
▪️ The area includes residential units and hotel rooms, all designed to complement its identity, along with 4 arenas for hosting global events and welcoming esports clubs from around the world. The total seating capacity of these arenas is 73,000, with one arena boasting a capacity of 5,300 seats, making it one of the world’s three largest esports stadiums. It also features the world’s largest indoor LED screen among all esports venues.
▪️ The area covers more than 500,000 square meters, including 100,000 square meters dedicated to gaming sales, dining, and entertainment, providing an environment suitable for living, working, and playing.

This initiative marks a significant step towards attracting millions of annual visits, enhancing local tourism and the economy, and diversifying national income sources in alignment with Vision 2030.
