Dubai Basketball secured first place in the Top 8 stage of the ABA League after a convincing 92-64 victory over Bosna BH Telecom in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
The result confirms Dubai’s position at the top of the standings ahead of the 2026 playoffs, ensuring home-court advantage in the upcoming quarterfinals. The playoff round, scheduled for May, will follow a best-of-three format that rewards the top-seeded team.
Dubai wasted little time asserting control over the contest. A powerful 22-2 run early in the first quarter set the tone, with the visitors dominating both offensively and defensively. By the end of the opening period, Dubai had established a commanding 28-12 lead.
The visitors continued to dictate play in the second quarter, maintaining their defensive intensity while finding consistent scoring opportunities. Their lead extended to 46-31 by halftime, leaving the home side struggling to keep pace.
After the break, Dubai showed no signs of easing off. Their structured approach and depth allowed them to maintain momentum through the third and fourth quarters. The gap steadily widened as Bosna BH Telecom found it difficult to respond to the sustained pressure.
Dubai’s balanced team performance proved decisive, with six players reaching double figures in scoring. Dzanan Musa led all scorers with 15 points, delivering a composed display against his home-country opponents. Kenan Kamenjas and Bruno Caboclo each contributed 13 points, adding to the team’s offensive strength.
Mfiondu Kabengele chipped in with 12 points, while Filip Petrusev added 11. Aleksa Avramovic rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points, highlighting the squad’s depth and versatility.
The comprehensive victory underlines Dubai’s strong form heading into the postseason, where expectations will be high following their dominant Top 8 campaign. With home-court advantage secured and a well-rounded roster firing on all cylinders, the team will look to carry this momentum into the playoffs as they aim for further success in the league.
