Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple areas of the Gaza Strip overnight on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of 19 Palestinians and injuring several others, according to local reports.
The strikes, which continued throughout the night, hit residential areas across Gaza, including Khan Younis, the Jabalia Refugee Camp, and Deir al-Balah. In Khan Younis, four Palestinians lost their lives, and six others were injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a house.
In the Jabalia Refugee Camp, Israeli aircraft struck two residential apartments, killing three Palestinians. Their bodies were transported to Kamal Adwan Hospital, according to medical sources.
One of the most devastating attacks occurred in Deir al-Balah, where the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that seven people, including a woman and her six children, were killed in an Israeli artillery strike on a house. The victims’ bodies were recovered from the rubble by rescue teams.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that four more Palestinians were killed in a separate strike on an apartment on 20th Street, with their bodies taken to Al-Aqsa Hospital.
In Gaza City, a woman was killed, and several others were injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in the al-Sabra area.
The ongoing Israeli bombardment has resulted in widespread devastation across the Gaza Strip, with reports indicating that more than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict escalated. Nearly 100,000 others have been injured, and the destruction has affected every aspect of life in Gaza, which remains under a severe blockade.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, with critical shortages of medical supplies, food, and other essential goods exacerbating the suffering of the population. The international community has repeatedly called for an end to the violence and for urgent humanitarian aid to be allowed into the region. However, the conflict shows no signs of abating, with further strikes and casualties expected as the situation continues to unfold.
