Corona virus: The actual death toll from COVID-19 in Iran is “almost three times higher than government figures”

The death toll from the coronavirus in Iran is three times higher than official figures. The death toll from the virus in the country has risen to about 42,000 by July 20, According to the Ministry of Health, the death toll is just under 15,000. On the other hand, the announced number of affected patients is around 280,000, however, in light of the data obtained through the information, the total number of affected people is more than four and a half million.

COVID-19 in Iran

Iran is one of the world’s most affected countries and has recently seen another wave of coronavirus. Since the outbreak, experts have questioned the accuracy of the figures provided by Iran.

It should be noted that the number of people infected with the coronavirus has been declining around the world, but the information provided shows that the Iranian authorities have largely concealed the actual number of victims, although They had information on all those killed.
