Sex education and Awareness about protection

Sex education and Awareness about protection

We have seen mostly in developed countries that sex education is given huge importance and also made part of the curriculum since they have seen a phase of modernization and also advancement which led to the openness of society and also gave an individual young boy or girl independence to pick partners for just leisure or entertainment, which was absolutely fine as long as consent was involved but later society has seen real consequences which still they are facing in terms of many babies who are left in the hospitals or at doorsteps of houses with just one tag or card that “I can’t take care of him or her, please you do”.

Sex education and Awareness about protection

This is a real dilemma where such kids are raised as orphans under different foster parents or in different foster houses adopting different habits or maybe they are raised as criminals or bad people.

I don’t have an objection to the process of sending orphans into foster houses or keeping them in orphan houses, I’ve reservations and concerns over how and why these kids go through this painful journey in the first place? Had their parents were been a bit careful at the time of excitement, this dilemma wouldn’t have been there in the first place.

Now, let me talk about sex education, the issue is we as “Islamic” countries are very reserved about talking over this subject as it is still a taboo but we observe these practices in society and in our culture. We cannot stop such young excited people who do that, however, what we can bring is awareness through adding sex education in courses and syllabus at the academic level.

At least, they will be aware of how to protect from different kinds of social issues for instance different diseases AIDs, Hepatitis, and other skin diseases and also they won’t be able to produce such kids who are ending up becoming criminals or bad person in society.

For decades people are talking about this concept and trying to convince the educational boards to add these topics to the curriculum in order to bring awareness to teens and kids who are touching puberty but we still are shy or not ready to talk about this and implement it.

As a writer, I would suggest thinking about this, since we can’t stop such things from happening in society but yes, we can bring awareness on how to avoid the negative consequences of it. Besides, such things are natural and happening everywhere, but we have to avoid its negative consequences in order to stop more kids raising as orphans or becoming wrong persons.
