In a continued show of solidarity, the UAE has delivered 530 tonnes of food supplies to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” relief campaign. The initiative follows directives from Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and was overseen by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. This latest round of aid was coordinated by the Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs in partnership with the Fujairah Charity Association.

The campaign, launched in early October on the orders of President Sheikh Mohamed, reflects a widespread humanitarian push from the UAE’s leadership. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, have also shown committed support, highlighting the UAE’s dedication to relief efforts in Lebanon.

Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Chairman of the Fujairah Charity Association, explained that the campaign aligns with the UAE leadership’s continued prioritization of humanitarian relief. Al Raqbani also extended his gratitude to the 1,000 volunteers from various sectors of the UAE community who joined efforts to prepare and pack the aid for transport.

“This campaign is a direct response to our leadership’s call to support those in need,” Al Raqbani stated. “We are deeply grateful for the dedication of volunteers who have united in this effort, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to compassion and solidarity.”

Suhail Rashid Al Qadi, Director of the Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Works, emphasized the significance of the initiative, noting that aiding Lebanon during this challenging time embodies the UAE’s longstanding humanitarian values. He also pointed to the UAE leadership’s swift actions as essential in addressing Lebanon’s pressing needs.

“Our leadership’s commitment to solidarity and assistance has guided this effort,” Al Qadi remarked. “We are grateful for the opportunity to extend the UAE’s support to Lebanon, reaffirming our dedication to humanitarian work across the region.”

The “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign has aimed to provide food security to vulnerable communities in Lebanon, where ongoing economic challenges have heightened the need for support. Since its inception, the campaign has mobilized substantial resources to deliver relief supplies to Lebanon’s struggling families, reflecting the UAE’s sustained focus on regional humanitarian issues.

The UAE has maintained a consistent role in international humanitarian support, with numerous relief campaigns launched in recent years to assist communities impacted by conflict, natural disasters, and economic crises. Through the continued efforts of organizations like the Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs and the Fujairah Charity Association, the UAE aims to strengthen its humanitarian impact globally, ensuring assistance reaches those in need swiftly and effectively.
