In a significant diplomatic meeting, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić discussed the growing strategic partnership between their two nations, highlighting opportunities for expanded cooperation in key sectors. The discussions took place during Sheikh Mohamed’s working visit to Belgrade, where President Vučić welcomed the UAE delegation.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties, particularly in areas such as investment, trade, economy, technology, renewable energy, and food security. Their meeting also addressed regional and international issues of mutual concern, emphasizing the importance of peaceful solutions to global crises that hinder development and prosperity.

President Vučić expressed gratitude for Sheikh Mohamed’s visit, calling it a step forward in advancing the partnership between Serbia and the UAE. He emphasized that the growing collaboration between the two countries aligns with their shared goals of fostering development and improving the well-being of their peoples.

During their talks, Sheikh Mohamed underscored the UAE’s dedication to supporting peace and stability in the Balkans. He highlighted the strong relationship between the UAE and Serbia, which has flourished since the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two nations. The UAE President also reiterated the importance of global cooperation, stating that economic and trade collaboration plays a pivotal role in ensuring a better future for all.

Sheikh Mohamed also pointed to the UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement as a key milestone in strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. The agreement is expected to significantly boost trade and investment, fostering collaboration at both the government and private sector levels.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials from both countries, including Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; and UAE Ambassador to Serbia, Ahmed Al Menhali. The leaders and officials discussed a range of topics, reinforcing their shared vision of leveraging new opportunities for mutual benefit.

The visit further solidified the UAE and Serbia’s partnership, positioning both countries for stronger economic and diplomatic cooperation in the future.
