Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided vital food assistance to thousands of vulnerable individuals across Sudan, Benin, and Mauritania as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
Food Assistance for Displaced Families in Sudan
In Sudan, KSrelief delivered 640 food parcels to displaced families in Sennar State, benefiting nearly 5,965 individuals. This distribution falls under the third phase of the Food Security Support Project in Sudan, aimed at addressing food shortages and supporting communities affected by ongoing instability.
Aid Reaches Thousands in Benin and Mauritania
Meanwhile, in Borgou Province, Benin, KSrelief dispatched 450 food parcels, assisting 2,700 people. The aid was part of the Etaam Ramadan Food Basket Project, which provides essential food supplies to underprivileged communities during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Etaam project, now in its fourth phase, is a large-scale initiative aiming to distribute 390,109 food baskets across 27 countries, reaching more than 2.3 million individuals throughout Ramadan.
In Mauritania’s Tiaret district, 574 bags of food were delivered, benefiting approximately 4,044 people, ensuring access to essential nutrition for struggling families.
Saudi Arabia’s Ongoing Humanitarian Commitment
KSrelief’s continued efforts underscore Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global humanitarian aid, particularly in regions facing food insecurity, displacement, and economic hardship. The organization regularly provides food, medical aid, and emergency relief to vulnerable populations worldwide.
As Ramadan progresses, KSrelief remains focused on expanding its outreach, ensuring that millions of individuals receive the support they need during the holy month.
