Doha, Qatar – Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, held a meeting on Tuesday with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp, who is currently on an official visit to Qatar. The high-level talks focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing pressing regional issues, particularly in the Middle East.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to deepen cooperation across key sectors, including economy, healthcare, and technology. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties and exploring investment opportunities that could benefit both Qatar and the Netherlands. The health sector and advancements in technology were also highlighted as priority areas for collaboration, with the aim of sharing expertise and resources to drive innovation.

The conversation also turned to the escalating violence in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, a situation of grave concern for both nations. The two ministers exchanged views on the developments in these regions and explored potential strategies for de-escalation and fostering stability. Qatar, which has played a significant role in regional diplomacy, reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian aid and peace efforts, while the Netherlands voiced its support for diplomatic solutions and international cooperation to address the crisis.

In addition to these urgent issues, the officials addressed other topics of mutual interest, including the need for sustained diplomatic dialogue to resolve ongoing regional conflicts. Both countries underscored their commitment to fostering a secure and stable Middle East and called for increased international collaboration to achieve lasting peace.

This meeting marks an important step in Qatar-Netherlands relations, building on previous engagements and reinforcing a shared commitment to diplomacy and global cooperation.
