Udrive Introduces MINI Cars to UAE Car-Sharing Fleet Through Partnership with AGMC

UAE-based car-sharing company Udrive has partnered with AGMC, the official importer of MINI vehicles in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, to introduce MINI cars into its shared mobility platform, the companies announced on Tuesday.

Under the agreement, Udrive will add up to 100 MINI vehicles to its fleet, with an initial batch already available to users across the UAE. The rollout includes MINI Convertibles as well as other models designed for urban driving, offering customers access to premium vehicles on a flexible basis.

The partnership marks MINI’s first foray into the UAE’s car-sharing market, highlighting the growing demand for short-term vehicle access over private ownership, particularly in major cities. Udrive allows customers to locate, book, and unlock vehicles through its mobile app, offering rentals by the minute or by the day. Fuel and parking are included, and no deposit is required.

Hasib Khan, founder and chief executive of Udrive, said the addition of MINI cars would expand choices for customers and provide access to premium vehicles without the commitments of ownership. “This partnership enhances the flexibility and convenience our service offers, enabling users to enjoy iconic MINI cars while moving around the city efficiently,” Khan said.

AGMC MINI head Ziad Boghdady emphasized the changing mobility preferences in the UAE. “Consumers are increasingly prioritizing access and flexibility over owning a vehicle. This collaboration allows MINI to meet this demand while introducing our vehicles to a wider audience,” he said.

The MINI models available on the Udrive platform will include the Cooper S, John Cooper Works, and Convertible variants. Udrive currently operates a fleet of more than 2,000 vehicles across the UAE and has completed over three million rentals since its launch. In 2025, the company recorded more than 554,000 trips and over 45 million kilometres driven, according to company data.

Car-sharing services are gaining traction across the UAE as part of broader efforts to improve vehicle utilization, reduce traffic congestion, and lower emissions by encouraging alternatives to private car ownership. Udrive’s expansion with MINI vehicles reflects the increasing appeal of shared mobility options for residents seeking flexibility, convenience, and access to high-end vehicles.

By introducing premium vehicles to its platform, Udrive aims to attract a wider range of users, from daily commuters to those seeking a luxury driving experience for special occasions. The collaboration also reinforces the UAE’s push toward innovative, sustainable, and technology-driven transportation solutions.
