Registration is now open for the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow, scheduled to take place from November 17 to 21, 2025, at Dubai World Central. One of the world’s premier aerospace events, this year’s show will spotlight innovation, connectivity, and the future of aviation, defence, and space, according to a report by the UAE’s official news agency WAM.
The Dubai Airshow 2025 arrives at a pivotal time for the region’s aviation sector. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), aviation contributes $92 billion to the UAE’s GDP—roughly 18.2% of the total. The Middle East’s commercial aircraft fleet is projected to grow by 5.1% annually over the next decade, positioning the region as an increasingly vital player in global aviation.
Organised in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and the Government of Dubai, this year’s Airshow is set to host global aerospace leaders, government officials, and innovators. It will serve as a platform for strategic discussions and unveilings across the civil, military, and commercial aviation sectors.
Major General Dr Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Executive Director of the Airshow’s Military Committee, highlighted the event’s role in advancing the UAE’s leadership in aviation and defence. “Empowering the next generation of talent is central to our vision,” he stated, stressing the importance of innovation and future readiness.
Among the highlights of the 2025 edition is the first-ever runway networking event, held in partnership with SkyDive Dubai. This exclusive gathering will feature drone shows, skydiving performances, live music, and premium hospitality, offering a unique environment for informal engagement between global aviation figures.
For the first time, the Airshow will also include night-time programming. On the second day, activities will extend until 9:00 PM, featuring evening receptions and illuminated aerial displays, providing visitors with an extended and immersive experience.
The event will also focus on sustainability and emerging technologies, with the return of VISTA, the start-up hub for aerospace innovation, and the NextGen Leaders Programme, aimed at mentoring and training the next wave of aviation professionals. A newly launched Academy will offer hands-on learning opportunities.
High-level discussions will take place within the Aerospace Executive Club, which brings together industry leaders to examine trends, strategies, and global cooperation. A new AI-powered matchmaking system will facilitate strategic networking among participants via the official Dubai Airshow app.
Open to the public, the Skyview event will also return, offering more than 15,000 visitors a chance to witness live flying displays and explore interactive exhibits over five days.
Timothy Hawes, Managing Director of Informa Markets, the event organiser, said the 2025 edition will be the “most future-forward” yet. “Dubai Airshow continues to lead global conversations on aviation progress, innovation, and sustainability,” he said.
As registration begins, international aerospace stakeholders are invited to join what is set to be a landmark event for the aviation and defence sectors.
