Huawei made a bold statement in personal technology with the launch of its latest wearable devices and a new tablet at an event in Berlin, showcasing a blend of style, health innovation, and smart design.
The Chinese tech giant, which has seen significant growth in the wearables market, continues to expand its global footprint. A recent report from IDC confirmed Huawei’s position as the fastest-growing brand worldwide in wearable shipments for 2024. The company has also maintained its dominance in China’s wearables sector for six consecutive years.
Under the banner “Fashion Next,” Huawei introduced a range of flagship products aimed at consumers who seek a combination of fashion, functionality, and fitness. The centerpiece of the launch was the HUAWEI WATCH 5, which features significant health-focused upgrades and an elegant new design.
The WATCH 5 incorporates the advanced HUAWEI TruSense System and the Multi-sensing X-TAP Technology, allowing users to perform fingertip health measurements with greater speed and accuracy. New gesture controls such as “Double Slide” and “Double Tap” enhance user interaction. The smartwatch will be offered in two fresh colors—Purple and Sand Gold—and is set for pre-orders in the UAE from May 22, with retail availability starting May 29, priced at Dhs1,599.
Complementing the flagship watch is the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series, designed with a slim 9.3 mm profile and supporting a variety of outdoor activities, including trail running, diving up to 40 meters, and golf tracking. This model also integrates the TruSense health monitoring system and will launch in the UAE on May 16 at a price of Dhs549.
Huawei also revealed the HUAWEI FreeBuds 6, its first open-fit earbuds featuring dual-magnetic drivers and noise cancellation technology aimed at delivering clear calls and immersive audio. The earbuds showcase a sleek, droplet-inspired design to ensure comfort during extended use.
Rounding out the product lineup is the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2-inch 2025 tablet, a productivity-focused device equipped with a Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display designed to reduce glare. Creative tools such as a 3D Oil Painting Brush and frame-by-frame animation features position the tablet as a versatile device for artists and professionals. It will be available in the UAE starting June, with pricing details to be announced.
In addition to hardware, Huawei introduced the HUAWEI Care+ Service, offering extended warranties and protection against accidental damage and loss for audio products. The company also launched “Active Rings,” an evolution of its fitness campaign promoting wellness through more than 100 sport modes available across its wearable devices.
With these new releases, Huawei aims to strengthen its position as a key player in the intersection of technology, fashion, and health worldwide.
