Lahore, PK: Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) ready to launch  200 WiFi hotspots at public places in Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi under the program Digital Punjab.

Free Wifi Internet at Public Places

These free Wi-Fi hotspots will be offered at the following places in Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi:

  • Metro Stations.
  • Airports.
  • Parks.
  • Large markets.
  • Government Universities and Colleges.
  • Railway Stations.
  • Government Hospitals.
  • Government Offices.

Free Wifi Internet at Public Places

This project is following the example of developed countries which already provide free Wi-Fi hotspots in the public areas. It will be helpful for Universities and colleges students to be connected to unlimited knowledge opportunities through online resources. In hospitals, most of the time when a patient is diagnosed, he does not know anything about the details of his illness, the free Wi-Fi hotspots in hospitals would allow patients to get every single bit of the information on their disease almost instantly for free.
