Collaboration between government and IT industry in Punjab to introduce strategies to solve the core issues in IT sector of Pakistan.
A Round table Conference held at Arfa IT Tower organized TechHub Connect, a Project of PITB and ITU Punjab. Chairman of PITB Dr. Umar Said and all other industry leaders gathered in this conference to make IT industry more stronger, as in developed countries. This Round table conference was an open discussion between all the major stakeholders of our IT Industry including academia, industry and startup community.
According to Report of New York Times, Pakistan is third biggest Provider of IT Solutions and it can be next software hub in the World. Pakistan is now the days is 3rd biggest Freelancing service Provider in the World after USA and India.
Dr. Saif said, “TechHub Connect going to launch an online portal where clients/Software houses can post projects/jobs according to their need and academia will respond by referring students and appropriate workforce to them.”
PITB is also launching online Taxes procurement and transparency  system soon for Government of Punjab. The participants actively took part in discussions and declared the TechHub Connect a useful platform highly desired by the IT industry. Techhub and Plan9 are two great initiatives of PITB which are Pakistan’s most developed Startup and Freelancer Incubators. PITB involves computerization of all departments in Punjab and made great achievements in recent years.
