Artificial Brain is a concept that is derived from Artificial Intelligence. The artificial brain is a combination of software and hardware which has cognitive abilities like a natural living being’s brain and also automated and upgraded with technological intelligence as well. So, it’s a combination of the human brain and artificial brains.
For decades and years, neuroscientists have been trying to understand the human brain first and learn how it works over six senses and its role in the decision-making process as well. Before we move to this question can artificial intelligence really take up the role of humans? First, we need to see has neuroscientists actually understood human brains and are they developing a true model of Artificial intelligence?
For years scientists have been trying to develop any machine which can think and has the ability to process like the human brain to some extent. But for years they were trying to solve this mystery how can artificial and biological intelligence be together which can properly function like a natural brain and has proper decision-making process and information systems that can actually work like A.I.
Famous scientist Jeff Hawkins with whose work in A.I world, most scientists are totally inspired, answers a question about “Artificial Intelligence’s direction and its future about taking up the role of humans” in an interview that it’s a very complicated question, I don’t have any objection over how A.I is created, I think it is useful to a great extent but I don’t think A.I is totally intelligent and can take up the human brain’s role.
He further said, my main interest is the natural brain and I fell in love with brains decades ago and I have this attitude before making A.I first we need to study human brains and what intelligence is actually about? In the absence of total understanding about the brain, we can not move towards the actual concept of Artificial brain or Artificial Intelligence.
As per Hawkins, A.I cannot replace true intelligence and throughout the development phase, I have observed one thing artificial intelligence is not actual intelligence no matter how hard scientists try it can never take place of the human brain.
To sum up the question, “Is B.R.A.I.N or A.I useful? Yes, it is to a great extent where all machinery works, batch processing, or same routine work is involved. But when it comes to judgmental process or decision making, or creativity or scenario-based judgments to come up with any conclusion or take any decision A.I can never replace the role of the human brain.
