Air Arabia has announced the launch of a new daily non-stop service between Sharjah International Airport and Munich International Airport, set to commence on December 15, 2025. The move marks a significant expansion of the airline’s European network and aims to boost connectivity between the UAE and Germany.
The announcement was made via state news agency WAM, highlighting Munich’s importance as both an economic powerhouse and cultural destination. The new route is expected to cater to both business and leisure travelers looking for affordable and efficient travel options between the two cities.
“Munich stands as one of Germany’s leading economic and cultural centers, offering strong appeal for both business and leisure travelers,” said Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia. “The launch of our new non-stop service to Munich marks another important step in expanding our European network from the UAE to key global destinations.”
Al Ali added that the expansion aligns with Air Arabia’s long-term growth strategy and commitment to providing value-driven travel, while also supporting the airline’s aim to make international travel more accessible to a wider range of passengers.
With the addition of Munich, Air Arabia further strengthens its presence in Europe. The airline already offers direct services from Sharjah to several major European cities, including Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw (both Chopin and Modlin airports), and Prague. The growing network underscores Air Arabia’s ambition to become a leading player in the region’s low-cost aviation market.
The airline’s expansion into Munich comes amid increasing demand for budget travel between the Middle East and Europe, as well as growing tourism and business ties between the UAE and Germany.
Air Arabia, which operates out of Sharjah as its main hub, has built a reputation for offering reliable, cost-effective air travel while maintaining a focus on customer comfort and operational efficiency.
The new route to Munich is expected to boost tourism, business exchanges, and passenger traffic between the two countries, while offering travelers a new, affordable option for travel between the Gulf and Central Europe.
Tickets for the new Sharjah–Munich route are expected to go on sale in the coming months.
