The Abu Dhabi Chamber has entered into a landmark partnership with 1X Technologies to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics within the emirate’s industrial and energy sectors. The agreement is designed to help local companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), adopt next-generation automation solutions, boost productivity, and strengthen their position in global markets.
The collaboration will allow Abu Dhabi-based firms to work directly with 1X Technologies, a global leader in humanoid robots and AI-driven systems, to explore opportunities for localising advanced technologies. The move is seen as a key step toward enhancing Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness in emerging industries while supporting the government’s broader vision of a diversified and innovation-led economy.
Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, described the agreement as a significant milestone in the chamber’s mission to foster international cooperation and technological advancement. “This agreement represents an important milestone in the chamber’s efforts to expand international partnerships and support Abu Dhabi’s vision of building a diversified, knowledge-driven economy powered by advanced technologies,” Al Dhaheri said. “We look forward to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s global standing as a hub for industrial and energy innovation, and to empowering local companies and entrepreneurs to pursue new growth opportunities in global markets.”
The partnership with 1X Technologies is expected to focus on applying humanoid robotics and intelligent automation within key sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and energy production. These technologies are designed to increase efficiency, reduce operational costs, and create safer, more adaptive workplaces.
Mustally Hussain, Chief Financial Officer of 1X Technologies, said the company is eager to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s growing innovation ecosystem. “We are pleased to partner with the Abu Dhabi Chamber at a time when advanced technologies are reshaping entire global economies,” Hussain said. “NEO represents a new era of human-robot collaboration—one where intelligent machines can work safely alongside people to transform how industries operate. Abu Dhabi stands out as a leader in innovation, making this partnership strategically valuable for our growth.”
The announcement was made during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), where the Chamber is engaging with international companies and investors to expand its global network. Officials say the agreement aligns with ongoing efforts to attract strategic partnerships that will support technological development, industrial transformation, and sustainable economic growth across the emirate.
