China has introduced a two-kids policy that allows couples to have two children instead of one. However, the comprehensive policy has led an extra 5.4 million births in china about which the Chinese government has never anticipated.

The new policy was announced in 2015, which determined to change the passive growth in population and to avert an economic decline due to the dwindling workforce. For 35 years, china strictly operated the one-child policy to control population growth. Hence this policy could not get long-term impact and probably will take decades to achieve substantial results.
