Importance of boundaries in privacy

Concept of privacy is very well known and well understood everywhere, we always talk about privacy and data protection or confidentiality and why it is important? Answer to that question is privacy is all about respecting people’s walls, their space, their thoughts and ideas and also their matter. 

In many organizations and multinationals people are friendly and like to become friends with each other’s and enjoy their bonding, but these friends respect each other’s privacy and also care about their secrets as well. 

Privacy and concept of boundaries, they are well understood by every educated and mature person that how important concept of boundaries in privacy. If people do not understand each other’s personal spaces and care about their personal choices and professional choices that shows serious lack of understanding towards concept of how to keep things separate and very confidential. 

Fast use of social media for example Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other platforms where people share their ideas and write about their opinions and feelings for each other’s so there’s large amount of data available online people try to misuse that information so here comes concept of understanding boundaries of privacy and role of regulators to save information from misuse, let people’s information safe and to themselves. 

There are many servers and data bases where all information is kept and utilized with the approval of person whose information is but when there’s larger amount of information there are heavy chances that can be misused which sometimes outside of user’s protection so here comes role of regulators are to protect that information and regarding privacy of customers and users all organizations should review and revise their policies related to data privacy.  

Let me explain the difference between privacy, confidentiality and boundaries, privacy is person’s desire to control the access on information and give access of it to others. However, confidentiality is the confidence that information of a person will not be disclosed without concerned person’s approval and permission. Now comes concept of boundaries, when boundaries are not kept and maintained then there are high chances that people would exploit privacy. 

So, concept of privacy is basically keeping things under the protection of law and keep it safe from wrong hands, to make things more confidential and improvise security and safety. Basic things in privacy is to have respect of people’s information and respect boundaries.
