Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues to expand its global humanitarian mission, delivering critical aid to vulnerable populations across multiple countries, including Somalia, Yemen, Chad, and Burkina Faso.

In Somalia, KSrelief recently distributed 1,155 food baskets to internally displaced and impoverished families in Baidoa district, Bay region. The aid reached 6,930 individuals, offering much-needed support amid ongoing instability and food insecurity. In a further health initiative, KSrelief signed an agreement with the International Wars and Disaster Victims’ Protection Association to launch the third phase of a dialysis center at Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu. This project is expected to benefit 665 patients suffering from kidney-related conditions.

In Yemen, where millions remain in need of humanitarian assistance, KSrelief distributed 3,471 food packages to the most vulnerable populations in Al-Madinah district of the Marib governorate. The aid is expected to support 24,297 individuals facing chronic food shortages due to the prolonged conflict.

Meanwhile, in Chad, KSrelief entered into a new $2 million agreement with a civil society organization to distribute 800 tonnes of dates across various regions. The initiative is expected to benefit around 500,000 people, providing nutritional support to struggling families.

KSrelief also carried out its two-week “Saudi Noor” campaign in Burkina Faso, aimed at combating blindness and eye-related illnesses. The campaign, delivered by the agency’s medical team, involved eye exams for 8,000 individuals, the distribution of 2,000 pairs of eyeglasses, treatment for 3,886 patients, and 800 eye surgeries.

Since its inception in May 2015, KSrelief has emerged as a leading force in international humanitarian relief. The agency has implemented 3,438 projects in 107 countries, with a total value exceeding $7.9 billion. These efforts have been carried out in collaboration with more than 318 international and local partners.

KSrelief’s expanding footprint underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing commitment to global humanitarian work, with projects targeting food security, healthcare, disaster relief, and capacity building in crisis-affected regions.
