Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has stepped up its global humanitarian efforts, delivering thousands of food parcels and essential supplies to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.

As part of its Etaam Ramadan project, KSrelief distributed 1,200 food baskets to needy families in Bucharest and Constanta, Romania, as well as 250 baskets in the villages of Al-Hamra and Abu Qudur in Syria. In Pakistan, the organization provided 1,300 food baskets to families affected by recent flooding in various regions.

Etaam Ramadan Project Expands Reach

Now in its fourth phase, the Etaam Ramadan project is expected to deliver 390,109 food parcels across 27 countries throughout the holy month, benefiting an estimated 2.3 million people. The initiative, valued at SR67 million ($17.8 million), is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable populations worldwide.

Food and Aid Distribution Across Multiple Countries

Beyond food parcels, KSrelief has also provided essential nutritional support to several other nations. This includes:

  • 25 tonnes of dates delivered to The Gambia
  • 50 tonnes of dates sent to Côte d’Ivoire
  • 2,400 boxes of dates, benefiting 15,000 people in Seiyun district, Hadramout governorate, Yemen

Saudi Arabia’s Commitment to Humanitarian Relief

KSrelief continues to be a leading force in global humanitarian aid, responding to crises with food, medical supplies, and disaster relief. The agency’s recent distributions are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian mission, which prioritizes supporting communities affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters.

With its Etaam Ramadan project and food aid deliveries, KSrelief is reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to international relief efforts, ensuring that millions of people receive essential support during Ramadan and beyond.
