The 15th edition of the Saudi Green Building Forum is set to take place in Riyadh from October 1 to 3, 2025, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday. The event will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing.
Aimed at advancing sustainability in line with Saudi Vision 2030, this year’s forum will spotlight pressing environmental challenges, innovative green solutions, and best practices in sustainable urban development. The gathering comes at a crucial juncture, marking the midpoint of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its broader national development agenda.
Organizers say the 2025 edition will serve as a strategic platform for collaboration and dialogue among leaders in sustainability. It will bring together key stakeholders including government officials, international experts, and representatives of the Kingdom’s flagship development projects. Participants are expected to share insights, showcase technologies, and explore ways to enhance the green building sector across Saudi Arabia and beyond.
The forum’s continued emphasis on environmental and architectural transformation supports the Kingdom’s ambition to lead regional and global sustainability initiatives. It also aligns with the goals of Vision 2030, which include reducing the country’s carbon footprint, diversifying the economy, and promoting innovation in infrastructure and city planning.
By promoting energy-efficient construction, the use of renewable resources, and eco-friendly design principles, the Saudi Green Building Forum aims to inspire actionable progress within the construction and real estate sectors. It also reflects the growing importance of sustainable urbanism in the Kingdom’s future development.
As Saudi Arabia accelerates major projects such as NEOM, the Red Sea Project, and Qiddiya, the forum will provide a timely platform to evaluate how green building practices are being implemented across these transformative initiatives.
The event is expected to draw wide regional and international interest, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a leader in sustainable development and green innovation.
