August 8, 2024 – The Qatar Amiri Air Forces (QAAF) proudly participated in the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT 2024), one of the world’s most prestigious air shows, held in the United Kingdom. The event, renowned for attracting numerous global air forces and leading defense companies, served as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge aviation technology and fostering international military cooperation.
QAAF’s participation featured a diverse array of aircraft, including the N H-90 (NFH) helicopter, utilized for search and rescue missions, the versatile C-17 Globemaster III for air transport, the Hawk advanced jet trainer, and the formidable Typhoon Eurofighter. The Typhoon, known for its state-of-the-art capabilities, is particularly noted for its versatility in executing a wide range of missions, underscoring Qatar’s commitment to maintaining a robust and advanced air force.
The presence of Qatar’s advanced fleet at RIAT 2024 underscores the nation’s strategic emphasis on enhancing its defense capabilities and sharing expertise with international counterparts. HE Staff Maj Gen (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Mannai, Commander of Qatar Amiri Air Forces, attended the air show, accompanied by several senior officers from QAAF. Their presence highlighted the importance Qatar places on global military engagement and cooperation, positioning the nation as a key player in the international defense community.
