The weather in Qatar is forecast to bring hazy conditions in some areas early on Friday, transitioning to moderate daytime temperatures with scattered clouds, according to the Department of Meteorology’s daily report.
Inshore, residents can expect mild northwesterly winds blowing at speeds of 5 to 15 knots, becoming variable at less than 5 knots by the evening. Offshore, stronger northwesterly to southwesterly winds will dominate, ranging from 6 to 16 knots and reaching up to 25 knots during the morning hours.
The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for strong winds and high seas in offshore areas. Wave heights inshore are expected to range between 1 to 2 feet, occasionally rising to 4 feet. Offshore, conditions are predicted to be rough, with waves between 2 to 4 feet, surging to 8 feet during the early part of the day.
Visibility is forecast to remain clear to moderate, ranging from 5 to 10 kilometers inshore and 5 to 9 kilometers offshore.
The Department advises residents to exercise caution, particularly for those venturing out to sea, as the offshore conditions are expected to be challenging.
