The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has firmly denied recent claims circulating in local and international media suggesting that the United Arab Emirates is offering lifetime Golden Visas to specific nationalities.
In an official statement carried by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the ICP clarified that no such provision exists. The Authority emphasized that all procedures related to the UAE’s Golden Visa programme are governed by clearly defined categories, conditions, and regulations established by official laws, legislation, and ministerial decisions.
Golden Visa applications, the ICP reiterated, are processed solely through official UAE government channels. The Authority does not recognize any internal or external consultancy or commercial entity as an authorised party for handling or facilitating Golden Visa applications.
The clarification comes in response to misleading claims made by a consultancy office operating abroad, which alleged that individuals could obtain lifetime Golden Visas from outside the UAE under simplified conditions. The ICP described these statements as baseless and issued without coordination with the UAE’s relevant authorities.
“These claims have no legal basis and are aimed at misleading the public,” the ICP stated. “We urge the public not to engage with any third-party services promising Golden Visa approvals, especially those requesting fees or personal documents outside of official platforms.”
To ensure a secure and transparent application process, the Authority continues to enhance its services through its official website and smart application. It warned that any individual or organisation spreading false information or exploiting people’s aspirations for a better life in the UAE will face legal action.
The ICP urged residents and potential applicants to disregard rumours and verify all information through its verified sources. Individuals can access accurate and up-to-date information by visiting the official ICP website or by contacting the 24/7 call center at 600522222.
This latest statement reinforces the UAE’s commitment to transparency and legal integrity in its immigration and residency procedures. The Golden Visa programme, launched to attract skilled professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs, remains a key part of the UAE’s vision for long-term economic development—but only through official, regulated pathways.
