The Trump Organisation officially unveiled a new 80-story luxury tower in Dubai on Tuesday, marking its latest high-profile venture in the Gulf region. Developed in partnership with Dubai-based Dar Global, the skyscraper will house a five-star hotel, premium residences, and two exclusive penthouses.
The launch comes just weeks ahead of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s scheduled visit to the region, which includes stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates—countries where he previously cultivated close diplomatic and business ties during his first term.
The new tower, situated in Dubai’s prime real estate corridor, will also feature the world’s highest outdoor swimming pool and offer property buyers the option to pay in bitcoin. Eric Trump, speaking to Reuters at the launch event, described the development as a fusion of real estate and digital finance. “You’re seeing two worlds that I love so much finally blend together, and that’s very exciting,” he said.
While the Trump Organisation’s primary business operations are U.S.-based, it has maintained significant interests in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi Arabia’s Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company, has partnered with the Trump family on several ventures, including proposed developments in Riyadh, Jeddah, Oman, and Abu Dhabi.
The gross development value of the Dubai project is estimated at $1 billion, with completion targeted between 2030 and 2031, according to Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar.
As speculation swirls over potential conflicts of interest, Eric Trump reiterated his stance on keeping business and politics separate. “I won’t be part of it, no… I keep total separation. I want nothing to do with politics or policy,” he said, adding that his father “loves the region” and has “a lot of friends over here.”
The launch further cements the Trump Organisation’s global footprint as it eyes deeper investments in the Gulf, a region it has long viewed as a strategic market. An announcement is also expected this week on a Trump-branded golf course and villa development in Qatar, in collaboration with Qatari Diar.
Since stepping down from office, Trump has ramped up his international business efforts, with the Gulf emerging as a focal point for both his political outreach and corporate brand.
