The Red Sea International Airport (RSI) has started its first international flights, with flydubai managing the initial international arrival from Dubai on April 18. This marks the commencement of a new flight schedule between Dubai and RSI, offering flights twice a week and improving connectivity for residents along Saudi Arabia’s western coast. With this addition, RSI now accommodates eight regular flights per week, solidifying its position as a crucial transportation hub in the area.
John Pagano, the CEO of Red Sea Global, emphasized RSI’s strategic location within a three-hour flight radius of 250 million people and its ability to host up to 1 million guests annually at full capacity. He stressed the importance of RSI in showcasing Saudi Arabia as a premier global tourism destination.
Michael White, RSI’s chief commercial officer, expressed enthusiasm for the airport’s growth, underlining their dedication to providing excellent services to passengers and airlines alike. They aim to cater to international travelers while expanding their network to serve the Red Sea region and visitors from across the globe.
