The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah has introduced a toll-free cloud call service to assist Umrah pilgrims during their visit to the Prophet’s Mosque. The new initiative, announced by the Saudi Press Agency, is aimed at enhancing the spiritual and logistical experience for millions of visitors to the holy city.
Accessible via 8001111935, the service is operated by the Scientific and Guidance Affairs Agency and supported by 30 direct phone guidance points installed throughout the mosque. These stations provide on-the-spot assistance to pilgrims, offering accurate religious guidance rooted in authentic Islamic teachings.
The presidency’s inquiries department will manage the service, answering questions on Umrah and visitation rituals. Officials say the initiative is designed to promote intellectual security, moral clarity, and a deeper understanding of Islam, while reinforcing the values of tolerance, moderation, and peaceful coexistence.
Beyond serving individual pilgrims, the presidency views the project as part of a broader effort to share the spiritual and civilisational message of the Prophet’s Mosque with the world. The move aligns with the strategic objectives of the Two Holy Mosques, aiming to enrich the pilgrimage experience and extend its positive impact globally.
Record Attendance at the Two Holy Mosques
The launch comes as the Two Holy Mosques report record-breaking attendance during the Islamic month of Muharram 1447 AH. The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques revealed that more than 60 million worshippers visited Makkah and Madinah during the month.
In Makkah, the Grand Mosque welcomed 27,531,599 visitors. Of these, 47,823 prayed at the sacred Hijr Ismail, and 7,857,270 performed Umrah. In Madinah, the Prophet’s Mosque hosted 21,576,200 worshippers, including 1,122,368 who prayed at Al Rawdah Al Sharifah and 2,110,375 who conveyed salutations to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two companions.
Officials reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining high-quality services for all pilgrims, in line with the directives of Saudi Arabia’s leadership. They emphasised that the goal is to ensure worshippers can perform their rituals with comfort, ease, and spiritual tranquillity.
By combining modern communication tools with centuries-old traditions, the Presidency of Religious Affairs hopes to make the Prophet’s Mosque experience more accessible and spiritually fulfilling for millions of Muslims from around the globe.
