Ireland made homosexuality legal
With 62 percent favor, Ireland stunned the world to become the first country to approve same-sex marriage by a popular vote. The gay rights movement overcomes the Roman Catholic opposition leading country to a big social change.
“Today Ireland made history” was said by Ireland Prime Minister, as poll turnout was more than 60 percent. It is another step towards global cultural change as 37 American states and 19 other nations has already made homosexuality legal.
The supporters celebrated the results with full cheer on Irish streets. The gay activist intense movement throughout the country plays a key role in bringing such dynamic change.
