Dubai Municipality has designated four public beaches exclusively for families during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holiday, aiming to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience for residents and visitors amid the festive rush.
The selected beaches — Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2 — will be reserved for families throughout the holiday period. All four sites are operated and maintained by the municipality and are among the emirate’s most popular coastal destinations.
According to the Dubai Media Office, the move comes in response to the typically high footfall beaches experience during Eid holidays. By dedicating these areas to families, officials hope to create a more comfortable, secure, and well-managed environment.
To ensure safety and maintain order, the municipality is deploying a team of 126 qualified lifeguards and rescue personnel, equipped with state-of-the-art tools and emergency equipment. An additional 100 inspectors will be stationed across the designated beaches to oversee operations, manage crowd flow, monitor security, and respond to incidents.
“This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to providing family-friendly public spaces that align with Dubai’s broader efforts to enhance quality of life,” a Dubai Municipality spokesperson said.
The initiative also supports Dubai’s long-term strategy to position its public beaches as inclusive, high-quality destinations for both residents and international tourists. The municipality emphasized that the family-only zones are part of wider efforts to improve recreational infrastructure while ensuring accessibility and safety.
Dubai Municipality, in coordination with strategic partners, will continue to monitor beach operations throughout the Eid holiday to maintain smooth logistics and address any emerging concerns. Visitors are encouraged to cooperate with on-ground teams and follow guidelines to ensure a positive experience for all beachgoers.
The municipality oversees the management of Dubai’s public beaches and waterways, regularly upgrading infrastructure and amenities to support a vibrant, welcoming environment. From enhanced lifeguard stations to modern restrooms and shaded areas, the family beaches are equipped with facilities that reflect Dubai’s commitment to excellence in public services.
With the family-only designation in place, authorities hope to strike a balance between accessibility and comfort, offering families a safe and enjoyable way to celebrate Eid Al Adha along Dubai’s iconic coastline.
