Corona virus: 15% increase in internet usage in Pakistan

In Pakistan, the use of the Internet has also increased due to lockdown in the Coronavirus and being restricted to people’s homes.  According to mobile phone companies providing internet service, Pakistan has seen a 15% increase in internet usage in recent times.

Most organizations in Pakistan have directed employees to work from home. Online classes of educational institutions are also running from home. In the long run, people are also using YouTube, Netflix and other video service provider websites. This is increasing the pressure on Internet service providers. Various mobile service providers in Pakistan have also introduced new packages that provide more data at a lower cost.
