The Qatar Chamber (QC) held a high-level meeting with an Indian delegation from the Government of Rajasthan to explore ways of enhancing economic cooperation and establishing joint ventures between Qatar and the Indian state. The meeting, led by HE Minister of Trade and Industry of Rajasthan, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and HE First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, aimed to foster collaboration and identify investment opportunities in both regions.
During the discussions, HE Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari highlighted the strong economic ties between Qatar and India, particularly in trade and commerce. He expressed enthusiasm for expanding Qatari investments in India, with a specific focus on Rajasthan, noting that Qatari business owners are keen to explore opportunities in the region’s growing economy.
“There are numerous Qatari investments already present in Rajasthan, particularly in sectors like real estate and tourism. The Qatar Chamber is committed to encouraging more Qatari investors to pursue joint ventures with their Indian counterparts,” said Al Kuwari. He also called on Indian businesses to explore Qatar’s investment landscape, emphasizing the country’s advanced infrastructure, favorable legislation, and various incentives that make it an attractive destination for foreign investors.
HE Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the Minister of Trade and Industry for Rajasthan, expressed the Indian state’s strong interest in strengthening ties with Qatar’s private sector. Rathore outlined Rajasthan’s potential as a prime investment destination, citing opportunities in real estate, tourism, hospitality, renewable energy, information technology, and entrepreneurship.
“We highly welcome Qatari investments and are eager to deepen our economic ties. Rajasthan offers a favorable business environment, and we invite members of Qatar Chamber and Qatari business owners to visit Rajasthan and explore the multitude of investment opportunities,” Rathore said.
The meeting underscored the mutual commitment between Qatar and Rajasthan to enhance their partnership in diverse sectors, including infrastructure development, sustainable energy, and tourism. Both sides expressed optimism that stronger economic ties would result in joint projects that benefit both regions.
This engagement between Qatar and Rajasthan is part of ongoing efforts by the Qatar Chamber to foster international collaboration and encourage cross-border investments. The discussions pave the way for further dialogue and potential future agreements between the two regions.
