Flydubai has announced the signing of seven new interline agreements, further strengthening its global network and expanding its list of interline partners to more than 40. The move enhances travel options for passengers, particularly across Europe and Asia, while reinforcing the airline’s role in supporting Dubai’s position as a major aviation and trade hub.
Through the new partnerships, flydubai customers now have access to over 30 destinations across Europe via Aegean Airlines, Greece’s flagship carrier, and ITA Airways, the national airline of Italy. For travelers heading to the Far East and Southeast Asia, the airline’s collaboration with Myanmar Airways International, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines opens connections to more than 90 destinations.
These interline agreements enable passengers to book single-ticket itineraries with through-checked baggage, offering a smooth and efficient travel experience across multiple carriers. The expansion builds on flydubai’s existing network of 135 destinations, extending its total reach to more than 300 global destinations through interline and codeshare partnerships.
Commenting on the development, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said:
“Since our inception in 2009, we have been committed to enhancing connectivity and supporting trade and tourism flows. The addition of these seven new interline partners provides our passengers with even greater flexibility and choice, giving them access to key markets across Asia and Europe. At the same time, it allows more travelers to experience Dubai as a leading global destination for business and leisure.”
Meanwhile, flydubai’s codeshare partner Emirates has announced plans to increase its flight frequency to London Heathrow ahead of the winter travel season. Beginning October 26, 2025, Emirates will add six weekly flights to its existing schedule, bringing the total to 48 weekly services between Dubai and London.
The additional flights, operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration, will complement Emirates’ six daily Airbus A380 flights. The new services are strategically scheduled to align with peak travel periods, ensuring smooth connections from Dubai to popular destinations such as Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Jakarta.
Passengers traveling from key West Asian and Middle Eastern cities, including Lahore, Chennai, Dammam, and Riyadh, will also benefit from improved onward connectivity to the UK capital.
Together, the latest developments from flydubai and Emirates underscore Dubai’s strategic commitment to strengthening aviation-led connectivity and supporting global trade and tourism growth. As international travel demand continues to rise, both airlines are positioning themselves for sustained expansion and enhanced passenger convenience.
