Almost all the people in every part and corner of the Universe must be aware of the extravagant and mouth-watering Thai Dishes. However, if you are amongst those few people who do not know anything about Thai Cuisines, and is looking to kick start your Thai food eating marathon. These are some of the most amazing and delicious Thai cuisines that you should definitely order on your trip to your nearest Thai restaurant.

  1. Tom Yum Goong Soup

Okay, technically the dish is a soup, but this particular soup has got almost all the different vegetables and authentic mints and herbs that Thai dishes are known for. Remember, that Thai foods are all about the combination of various flavours and giving your taste bud some unique experience. If you order the Tom Yum Goong soup expecting to taste the usual chicken soup, you will be disappointed. Instead, the soup perfectly represents the variation and distinctiveness of a typical Thai dish with a unique taste, and of course, the aroma is a different treat on its own.

Tom Kha Kai is again another authentic Thai dish that represents the distinct bond between chicken and coconut soup. Again, this dish is primarily for people who are looking for quirky tasting dishes, rather than hoping for the usual chicken taste that we have all grown used to. The dish constitutes of coconut soup, chicken, galangal, red chillies, lemongrass, and crushed shallots giving the dish a distinct appearance, smell and of course taste.

Guay Teow is the general name for noodle soup, which is primarily one of the things that Thai dishes are known for. The dish is simple, yet it is one of the most recognizable food items amongst the plethora of Thai foods. The noodle soup can be made from almost any type of meat such as pork, chicken, beef or even with an individual choice of fresh vegetables from the garden, and the noodles can also be either egg or rice noodles as well. Due to its wide compatibility, the dish has many interpretations varying from vendors to vendors, but overall, the dish is a good example of the simplicity of Thai foods.

Even if you are a newbie to Thai dishes and its idiosyncratic taste, there is a good chance that you may have heard of Pad Thai, and that represents how popular the dish really is. The dish is a simple representation of exquisitely fried noodles with shrimp or chicken. The ingredients sound simple, but the implementation of various veggies and ingredients such as chillies, fish sauce, onions, eggs, beansprouts, and grounded peanuts elevate its flavors and gives the dish a simple yet unique tasting experience.

Som Tam is the local name for Spicy Green Papaya Salad. Papaya is most probably one of the signature fruits that Thai locals love implementing into their dishes. As such, this dish is one of the traditional dishes that represent the unique blend of papaya with several authentic Thai food elements. The dish also has vast interpretations from various makers. However, the authentic ingredients contain thinly sliced/ shredded papaya, Palm sugar, peanuts, dried shrimp, carrots, beans, chillies, lime juice, tomatoes, and fish sauce. All these elements contribute significantly to the dish and give it an exquisite taste.

All these dishes are, but only a handful of Thai dishes that perfectly represents its unique aroma, taste, and appearance. Of course, you can always visit the nearest restaurant that serves authentic and traditional Thai foods if you want to know more about their unique food culture.
