SOLIDARITY FILM: Students from 100 Countries Call for Unity of Humanity
“With zero budget, I filmed people from 100 countries in 3 days before COVID-19 lockdown. Here’s my story.”
110 students of different racial/ ethnic and social backgrounds, speaking 65 languages, together made a film with a strong message of solidarity for the world. These students came from New York University Abu Dhabi.
As a first-generation student raised in a single-parent low-income family, Ray Hsu, from Taiwan, says, “I want to show that no matter how different we are, we will make it through this difficult time as long as the whole humanity stands together.”
The story touches on how individuals from 100 countries respond to Coronavirus, racial issues, climate crisis, ethno-nationalisms, and all the challenges facing humanity.
