3. Apply Math to Everyday Activities and Problems

It will help with practice, as well as motivation, to seek out practical uses for your developing math skills. For example, you can use math to help you determine sales prices. Or you can use math to help you calculate the amount of time a hike of a certain length will take you.

You can also use math to help you solve everyday problems. For example, use the probability formula to help you predict the likely outcome of an event or decision. This will help you assess and decide what risks are worth taking and which ones aren’t.

Math does have real-world value. Aside from its use in lucrative careers, it can you significantly in your everyday life. This is all the more reason to improve your math skills.
