Does fiction have impact on reality? How it changes our perspective

Fiction is something that looks real but completely unreal, there’s a fine line between fiction and reality which is very unclear, fiction is an escape from reality and fictional characters can change your life completely. Fiction is a path to a different world which is very close to reality with fictious names and real-life characters, can create a story that can be true or either shape the way you think and gives you good learning experiences. 

There are many fictious novels and movies got very popular and have real-time success some of the famous ones are Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, House of Cards, Lord of the ring etc. Various brands endorsed these characters and their tag lines on their products, people got inspired and these characters influenced real lives of people. 

Now, the question is does fiction have impact on reality? Yes, it could be if taken too seriously it can change your way of thinking and could either positively or negatively impact your life very bad. Because, fiction, fictious authority, fictitious characters can take you to the mythical world which is in parallel to real-world and people reading fiction will try to be more like their favorite characters, starts reacting in a different pattern or feeling indifferent manner may get too absorbed or angry though reality is different then what readers is expecting it to be. 

For example, Harry Potter and his magic wand, in movie “Abra cadabra” kind of spell or magic words would fix things or change present or situation but reality it’s not true. Take another example of Sherlock Holmes, a famous and successful detective, can connect all link and create imagination to solve a case, however, in reality, this thing is impossible. 

Reading fiction or creating fictious world inside your brain is very helpful as it can take you very close to reality which is either unexpectedly pleasant or you may have harmful results that could impact your life. As long as fiction is giving pleasure, it doesn’t affect your life and takes you in different level fantasy it doesn’t harm. 

Fiction is most powerful when it takes hints from real life which is closely aligned with the truth, as humans are crazy, they want to vibe or believe everything that creates the best reality. The question is can fiction change your perspective? Or create feelings or emotions? Answer yes, it could if the reader gets involved or absorbed as-fabricated truth is dangerous and can change your perception however, social media platforms can be utilized to educate readers about the difference between fiction and reality.
