Writing has always been one of my favorite hobbies along with reading due for many reasons. Number one is, to give all your thoughts and opinions a channel and transform them in a way that can reach readers and addressee in an understandable way. As reading opens up doors of imagination and thoughts, writing gives them a platform to communicate with your readers and audience.Â
Business communication and soft skills revolve around the seven Cs model which is creativity, comprehensiveness, completeness, conciseness, etc etc. which I’m not going to talk about but I want to write some practical and reality-based elements which make writings sensational and entice readers.
Creativity and imaginations:Â
Creativity is, of course, the top ingredient to make writing spicy and worth reading, then comes imagination which is also a component of creativity, unless a writer visualizes stuff that is nurtured on reality-based events, the writer cannot transform them into paper.
Research work:
Proper research work, writing which lacks research work is like writing something superficial, but when writing is backed by facts, truth, research, stats (sometimes), trends and news then it becomes appealing for the readers and definitely draws so much attention.Â
Balance words and flow of ideas in writing:
Flow of ideas and balance words can beautifully communicate the opinion of the writer and the idea behind the writing, without scenarios and absence of bringing practicality and a bit of storytelling style it becomes boring, so scenario building is important.Â
Genuine and quality content:
Produce genuine work and quality should be there, without these two writing is dull. Genuity and quality give writing essence and also spark which connects readers and audience. When we talk about quality then for sure it includes good structure, grammar, proper cohesiveness in the paragraphs.Â
Connectivity with latest trends and news:
Writing if connected with the latest trends and news, becomes more interesting and entices readers. Relevant trends and news if are reflected in the writings help in staying in the audience’s minds for longer than actual. Besides, there is no timelines for life of creativity and actual quality piece of work that for how long it would stay in readers list? Or in people’s minds, as long as true readers and audience which appreciates good writing, it has its life.Â
Blend your own opinion:
Think independently if you want to avoid boring stuff in your writing and wants to add fascinating stuff into your writing, don’t be hesitant when you are thinking different scenarios for writing, it’s not academic level writing that you are bound to follow business communication protocols, creative writing is all about communicating your message to the reader in such a way that it is well understood and perceived in a way which doesn’t harm anyone except receiving core subject which leads to required action. Â
Cut the nonsense:
Writing common or theoretical stuff makes readers uninterested, brings practicality and new ways to develop argument or debate in your writing presents both points of view. Think clearly about a topic if it’s about the latest events or if there’s any object on which you are about to write then think clearly, align all assumptions, collect all relevant information, do analysis and write your findings along with analysis. But writing shouldn’t be much crowded with numbers or facts and statistics because it bores readers. Yes, numbers are good to communicate actual data but an essay helps in developing a point or sending your message across the reader’s minds.Â
Simplicity and no repetition:Â
Adding difficult and tough words into your writing won’t make it popular unless it’s Shakespeare’s style of writings which has an only academic or dramatic purpose. If it’s about poetry or theater writing then thesaurus is helpful, otherwise, let your writing be in simple form so that reader can read and understand it. Another important point, avoid cliches and use some figurative language when comparing things or situations, it creates points and explains the topic very well.Â
