Being bilingual often comes with a cognitive personality trait that is creative and flexible, which shows a person has got a tendency to be open and flexible, being bilingual is a strength, not a plus, it’s a professional or personality skill that helps in being adaptive, adjustable and flexible in the society.
Usually, jobs and employers look for bilingual speakers those who can speak the native language for a reason that locals can easily understand or those who can’t speak the universal official language “English” can also understand and communicate. That doesn’t mean it is must requirement, it’s an additional requirement to make things easy for customers, stakeholders and people.
How being bilingual is beneficial and give advantages over people who knows not much languages is really need to look at;

If you only know one language which could be your native language or official language, that’s not an issue as most of the time people are not bilingual but due to technical skills or having the advantage of being a citizen, they get an advantage. However, it is advisable to learn more than one language which could be the worldwide official language in addition to local languages.
