The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) was established by the Beijing Municipal Government to provide tuition fees in whole or in part to International students who study or ask to study in Beijing. Its administrative office is the International Cooperation and Exchange Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Studies, which is responsible for the establishment, examination, acceptance and day-to-day management of the Beijing Government Scholarship Program.
International students who apply for the Beijing Government Scholarship Scholarships are expected to submit the relevant documents to the Beijing universities they wish to apply by the end of February. every year.
CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY
a. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.
b. Candidates for doctoral programs must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
c. Applicants for Master’s programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years of age.
d. Applicants to the undergraduate program must have a high school diploma with good academic performance and be under 30 years of age.
e. Applicants to the general education program must have a bachelor’s degree or have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and be under 50 years of age.
F. Candidates for long-term language studies must have a high school diploma and be under 60 years of age.
g. Applicants to the graduate program must have a Master’s degree or higher or hold the academic title of Associate Professor or Higher and be a graduate of © under 50 years old.
h. Applicants must meet the language requirements of institutions of higher learning.
I. Candidates must not be Chinese government scholarship holders at the same time.
Applications are accepted at the end of February.
