When people are looking for new jobs, one of the most important aspects is the company culture. In fact, 46% of job seekers state that company culture is important when looking for a new job, and 47% state that the company culture is the reason for looking for work. A negative work culture can not only drive employees away but negatively impact productivity levels as well.

1. Scavenger Hunt Teams
A scavenger hunt forces employees to work together to solve clues and find hidden treasures. Break employees off into several teams of 3-5 depending on how many employees there are. Place clues around the office that lead to various hidden treasures.Â
You can use anything as the treasure, such as a large plastic pirate coin or something else. The team who can find the most treasure wins the exercise! You can even use company swag items from your company store as the prices.Â
Try a demo of a company swag store to see if it’s something you want to look into!
2. Locked in a Human Knot
The human knot places employees directly next to one another and connected with one another. Have your employees stand in a circle. Each employee reaches their hand out and grabs a hand in front of them.Â
Then, they do this again with the other hand. Everything should be holding two hands but not from the same person. The exercise is to try and unknot themselves without unlocking their hands!Â
This exercise is tricky, but it forces the employees to communicate and work with one another. Even if they can’t seem to untangle themselves, they’ll have a lot of fun trying.Â
3. Throw Cultural Celebrations
Your workplace is home to many different cultures. Each employee brings their own culture with them each and every day. To help unify the group and help everyone understand one another, consider throwing cultural celebrations.Â
Each month, choose one day to celebrate a different culture in the group. On that day, you can enjoy food, drinks, games, music, and more from that specific culture. This gives employees an opportunity to share where they come from and explain how they might do some things differently from others.Â
4. Keeping the Egg Safe
In order to keep the egg safe from a one or two-story drop, employees must come together to build a protective barrier for the egg. They must use what they have available to them in the office to create this barrier for the egg.Â
Give employees a set amount of time to build their creation. Then, each team will place their egg into the structure they’ve built and drop it. Winning teams will have their egg still intact after the drop.Â
