Space Fountain is an innovative project that is proudly made in the UAE. It’s designed to resemble the launching moment of the Hope Probe Rocket. The purpose of the Space Fountain is to celebrate the UAE’s recent accomplishments in the space industry by creating an innovative and first of its kind monument.
The initiative was created by a group of Emirati designers and engineers who have aspirations to celebrate the UAE’s recent missions and symbolize the pride of their country in an innovative way.
Salem Al Messabi, the Innovator of The Space Fountain, alongside the rest of the team, has inspired the idea of the fountain from the Magic Tap Fountain that has been built in Ypres, Belgium. A huge inspiration factor goes to the Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi who had created nine floating fountains in the Osaka Expo 70.
“Since the UAE tapped into the space industry and after the launch of The Hope Probe, we felt it was the perfect time to come up with a monument that is innovative and reflects our country’s achievements in its design,” Salem Al Messabi said.
“The message we want to send to all the young thinkers, artists, designers and innovators in the UAE is to utilize their energy in creating things that benefit our country and reflect our pride in the accomplishments of the UAE,” Salem Al Messabiadded.
The space fountain will be the first landmark that embodies the UAE’s mission of pioneering in the space industry. The project caught the attention of investors and it’s being developed to be the first step into creating a space center that will act as a knowledge center and set itself as an iconic landmark, just like Dubai Frame.
