The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has officially opened volunteer registrations for the upcoming Hajj season, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and humanitarian service during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
In a statement released via the Saudi Press Agency on Monday, the authority invited individuals across the Kingdom and beyond to sign up through its official volunteer platform. This annual initiative aims to harness the spirit of volunteerism and provide crucial support services to millions of pilgrims expected to take part in this year’s pilgrimage.
Volunteers will be able to choose from four specialized tracks, each designed to cater to different skills and interests while ensuring smooth operations throughout the Hajj season.
Paramedic Track: This track is designed for those with medical training or first-aid knowledge. Volunteers will assist in providing immediate emergency care and first-response support until professional paramedics and rescue teams arrive on the scene.
Humanitarian Track: Focused on assisting pilgrims directly, this role involves distributing food, water, and offering general guidance. Volunteers in this category play a vital role in ensuring pilgrims feel welcomed and supported during their spiritual journey.
Media Track: For those with creative talents, the media track offers an opportunity to document the efforts of volunteers and the broader Hajj experience. Volunteers will contribute through photography, videography, content editing, and digital storytelling.
Logistics Track: Volunteers in this category will help manage the distribution, transportation, and storage of essential supplies and equipment, playing a behind-the-scenes role critical to the success of Hajj operations.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority emphasized the importance of volunteerism as a tool for both personal growth and social contribution. “Volunteering during Hajj is a chance to acquire new skills, take part in life-saving missions, and make a meaningful impact on society,” the authority stated.
Each year, thousands of volunteers play an essential part in supporting the logistical and humanitarian needs of Hajj, ensuring safety, organization, and care for pilgrims from all corners of the globe. This year’s recruitment drive continues that tradition, with the authority seeking individuals passionate about service and willing to contribute their time and skills.
Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the Saudi Red Crescent’s volunteer platform to learn more about the roles available and begin the registration process.
