Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP) on Thursday released details of parliamentarian’s assets and liabilities with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on top of the list of the wealthiest parliamentarian of the year.
Sources in the ECP said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif declared the value if Jati Umra Raiwind property at Rs 4 million and the property on Upper Mall Lahore at Rs 250 million.
In addition, the Prime Minister owned Rs7million, while the value of birds and pet animals owned by him Rs 5 million.
The value of jewelry owned by Prime Minister’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz was declared at Rs 1.5 million. While his son Hussain Nawaz remitted more than 234.5 million to the prime minister from the outside the country
According to the financial statement compiled by the ECP, PTI chairman Imran Khan owns assets in excess of Rs 1.4 billion. He did not declare any assets overseas and declared the current value of his Bani Gala property, which he mentioned as a gift at Rs 750 million. Whereas, his Zaman Park residence in Lahore, was valued at Rs 297.1 million.
Hamza Shahbaz declared assets of Rs 350 million while Captain Safdar owned the assets of Rs10 million including his wife Mariam Nawaz’s vehicle valued at Rs60 million, which had received as a gift from the United Arab Emirates.
The assets of Awami Muslim league’s Sheikh Rasheed are worth of Rs 47.5 million. Whereas Maulana Fazul Rehman owned the property of 6.4 million, the details of the assets disclosed.
